Trilene XT, Gig Game are both good, but large diameter vs lb test. Use Big Game 12 lb for crank baits and surface lures.

Maxima Ultra green is good but high memory.

Ande is similar to Izor line, both popular salt water lines.

P-line CXX is good, tends to absorb water and get chalky and stiff.

Sunline Diefer Armilo Nylon 25 lb is what I am using for swimbaits, wake baits and rats.

When I used to use mono exclusively I always used Berkley XT for baitcasters and XL for spinning reels. It always treated me well and I never had an issue with it. 

The line between what's a called "mono" and a "copolymer" is often very thin. There aren't alot of lines that are 100% nylon mono anymore. Expand you're search to lines calling themselves a copolymer  and your options explode. Most all of them loosely fish with the same very general properties and are still composed predominately of nylon and it's demonstrated in their Stretch, water absorption, resilience to revert back after being stretched ( vs flours for example) , knot strength,  etc. Generally with better casting lines you'll give up some abrasion resistance.  Conversely, a line geared towards toughness will generally not behave itself as well on a spool. On top of that, line diameters on tougher lines are generally thicker. So naturally if one mfg 12lb test is 10% thicker than another's, it SHOULD be more abrasion resistant and stronger.  

Learn to compare diameters. Read reviews and don't be afraid to experiment. Mono's pretty inexpensive. Line conditioner can make a good line that much better.

I use Sufix Elite now but I can't count the number of spools I've bought of Big Game. 

Suffix tri+ has never failed me, salt or fresh,  heavy (20lb ) or light (6lb).....

I use 12 lb Big Game for most applications because it is good line and inexpensive . For Texas rigs and jigs I opt for 17 lb trlene xl because it is a thin diameter line for its strength and it comes in clear blue fluorescent .  I like to be able to see my line with those lures . If Big Game came in clear blue fluorescent then I would use it in 15 lb . That stuff is amazingly strong . 

Ive been using stren green line since the eighties, and have no issues with it, from 4 to 12 pd test I know the strenghts of this line and it serves me well.

I don't have percentage of stretch in exact numbers but it claims to be low stretch and I don't disagree with the claim.

This! If you haven't tried it yet, this line excels in that it is infused with a silicone-like polymer, which makes it lay almost perfectly flat after a cast. Virtually no coiling or memory. Top notch for spinning reels. And very affordable to boot. 

Like a lot of mono's, Izorline comes in 2 flavors.  Premium for baitcasters which has a hard surface, good knot strength, limited stretch.  XXX for spinning, which is softer.  Premium develops quite a bit of memory in cold weather, XXX less.  Izor has a more consistent diameter than Big Game, costs a little more but is cheaper than many others.  The larger quarter lb spools are a bargain.  If choosing an all season line, I would go with Yozuri Hybrid.
