One guy called in funeral, my supervisor went home sick today, another guy is closing on a house, another guy is in Japan for a wedding. Our crew is cut in half and I will be the only hvac guy on staff. I'm stuck.

Bummer but isn't most of the tri-state area going to be at the parade anyway -

Any hvac emergencies may have to wait a day.

Watched Game 7 and yes, I was bored. This morning, I was in front of the tour bus as they got on the expressway after leaving O'hare on their way to Wrigley at 1/4 to six this morning. Thank God I wasn't behind the convoy. I bought an official Cubs World Series t-shirt at the Cubs museum which is in the building across the street from my office, and stopped off at my dads house on the way home from work. My 77yo father was wearing a Cubs jersey and hat. He has been waiting for most of his 77 years on this earth for this day to come. I don't think I've ever seen him so happy. I handed him the t shirt and his eyes lit up even more. So cheers to dad and the cubs and all the die hard fans

Tomorrow is going to suck. The parade will be starting 1 block north of my office....Have I ever mentioned I hate people. Traffics going to suck. The parade is right at my lunch hour. Traffics going to suck. Have I ever I mentioned I hate people. Traffics going to suck.....  

Join the parade!

Thats what about a dozen of my family will be doing

Just heard on the news they are expecting north of 2,000,000 people to attend the parade and rally

And they "only" had 1,000,000 for the Hawks!

That's it?  There's about 10 million in the Chicagoland area.  In Cleveland we had just under 1.4 million show up for the Cavs, and our greater metro area only has just north of 2 million!

WGN Afternoon news said 5 million. I started work an hour early and left an hour early. Drive time was surprisingly no different. They just announced trains with 3-5 hour delays. I watched the 10 minute parade from 28 stories up. Could hear the cheering like it was right in front of you. HUGE police presence.

It Would be awesome to be there in person... I've been watching the live feeds on Facebook and its pretty incredible.
