History Channel is airing 9/11, " 102 min that changed the world ", I'm not sentimental but watching this documentary causes two reactions, an anger that makes my blood boil but the sadness overcomes it, really, I feel like crying. Don't take this as a political statement but for those questioning what the hell are US soldiers doing in some s ..... country like Afghanistan should watch this documentary.

 

I know the feelings. I have them too. I use to go to NYC often in the years before the attack.  I haven't been to NYC since the attacks. Its not the same place to me. Still gets to me when I think what happened and how many lives were lost.

I doubt the anger or the sadness will ever leave many of us. I know neither will ever leave me.

I know everytime I see the clips of the planes just before they hit the tower I feel a little queezy. I can still remember where I was when the boss called and told us to turn the radio on. 

I just visited the 911 memorial/museum in NYC two weeks ago.  Definitely not "enjoyable", but I'm glad I went. Really emotional on multiple levels.

Been to Pearl Harbor too, and it's a similar experience.

Everyone should go to both if they can.

I can agree here!

Seeing the towers in flames or knowing there are people trapped inside is not what moves me, you don't see them or much of them, what really shocks me, what makes me want to cry is seeing those corageus and brave firemen, policemen and rescuers flocking towards the towers, getting ready to go inside knowing that they may not come back alive, nobody in the face of death says " I could die, I'm not going " on the contrary you see their faces and you know they are thinking " I may die but there are people that need me right now ", it takes a very special kind of person to do that kind of job.

My wife and I were living down there and working in lower Manhattan at that time. To this day I have moments where I am brought to tears at the thought of all that occurred that day.

Never forget.
