I'm looking at getting into making inline flashabou spinners. I've looked at lure parts, worths, and tw. But does anyone the best place to by large cheap hanks of flas, and just best all around prices?

The absolute cheapest place is Grandpa Bobs Custom Jigs, he sells Krystal Flash cheaper than everyone but he is unreliable. If he has it in stock you'll get it right away but if it isn't in stock, it could take 2 months, and you won't know until you want 3 days and see your order is still processing. Other than that you can go to ebay, and the reason is most vendors sell close to the same price for that stuff and in the same package size. The other place is Fly Tyers Dungeon, they have their own style flash, their H2O Twist is the same as Krystal flash and the H2O flash is flashabou, the products are awesome and great prices but they offer a different length and color spectrum.

If you don't mind waiting for shipment from China, check out Wang at Lifefly-outdoor on ebay

Try stamina.com or, lure parts online they have all kinds of lure making materials, or at least the last I checked they were still online., luremaking.com may have it as well. bears den fly shop here in Massachusetts has tons of flashabou, krystal flash, etc. they are online too, but Im not sure of their pricing

Barlow's appears to have some.  I don't know about their selection or prices for flashabou, as I've never used it.  But I have bought other stuff from Barlow's several times and I recommend them.

Barlow's is very reputable.  Jann's Netcraft has it too, and seems to be the cheapest, well known supplier.

If you're making baits as a hobby, I wouldn't be too concerned about the slight difference in price for flash materials (or hair or feathers & etc.) that you'll find among retail component suppliers.

 

I do business with the above mentioned suppliers but buy most of my supplies - wire, beads, blades, molds, hooks, and fly tying materials from barlowstackle.com who I think has the best selection. And if you're looking to make these spinners in quantity you'll want to check Barlow's tool category for a wire bender.

 

 

 

 

Feather-Craft is pretty awesome for fly tying materials, including flashabou, and dozens of other similar materials. Bear's Den too.

There is no such place as the best place to buy all the stuff for making in-lines.  I have to agree with Dave A. on lifefly - 16 colors for $15 plus shipping, it's worth the week or so to get it, and sometimes it's less than that.

If you really want to get cheap making them buy the mold to make spinner lure bodies and paint them yourself.  I've got all the new style blades but I've got old Weber, Weller, Marathon and even some roto blades - they definately give you a different thump than regular blades. 

 

You can buy lots of beads on sale at Michaels and Hobby Lobby - I've got a place like it called AC Moore, and I get lots of glass beads through them. 

 

I'm still using an old netcraft wire former I bought in the early 80's and it's still going strong.
