Looking for cheapest decent waders for new floattube

Featured Replies

I got a float tube for christmas and I'm low on cash. I need a cheap set of waders. If anyone can link me a pair I would be thankful. I do have boots so I don't need them to include the boots.

This is one of those times you get what you pay for..

Couldn't agree more. Cheap waders are like flying in a plane that is in "pretty good shape", or dating a woman who is "almost divorced."

I would take a look at Froggy Toggs. But as others have said you get what you pay for. If you want to spend a bit more money try orvis and if you want the best go with Simms.

Here's a pair of frogg Toggs for a decent price, I used this pair for a season steelhead fishing before they sprung a leak. But with a float tube they won't take the abuse like they do while steelheading. https://www.waderusa.com/frogg-toggs-hellbender-stockingfoot-chest-waders.html?fee=1&fep=86&gclid=CJGF8onqkNECFVeewAodZxEBOw

The key to really good, relatively inexpensive waders is to not go with current "models".  Look for last year's versions, etc.  Allen makes some great waders (mine are on their 4th season, and I wade a lot, both here in WI and out west).  Don't get sucked into the idea that you have to pay hundreds of dollars for wadres that are comfortable and last.  I have never paid more than $150 for a set of waders.

I buy stocking foot waders, then go with wading boots, so take that into the calculation.  One thing you do not want is cheap wading boots...but again, you can get very, very good pricing on last year's versions.
