Looking for someone to fish with in Northern VA!

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a fishing buddy. I'm 25 yrs. old and moved up here to Northern Virginia 2 years ago. I have yet to meet anyone that fishes as much or as devoted to the sport as I am. I own a kayak so my choices are a little limited sometimes.

Anyone that loves fishing and wants to go sometime, hit me up!

Welcome, William.   I kayak also.  Lots of my fishing trips are with Heroes on the Water.  Check us out on FB (GW Chapter)

Another good resource for meeting up is FB Virginia Kayak Anglers.

And keep an ear here on BR.  Lots of neighbors on here.

Hey William.  I moved from NY to Arlington a year ago and have found myself in the exact same situation.  Unfortunately I had to leave my boat in NY so I haven't been able to do a whole lot of fishing down here.  I shore fished the Potomac around Gravelly Park one time back in the summer.  I haven't done the shore fishing thing in a LONG time so it was pretty frustrating.  I also joined a bass club outta MD that fishes small tournaments around here.

I'm always down to meet new fishing buddies.  I'm hoping to do a little more exploring around the area this year.  PM if you wanna chat some more.

Guys check out New Horizons Bass Anglers fishing club. It is a fish for fun club with club tourneys mostly on the Potomac river, and area reservoirs. Club includes boaters and non-boat owners. Or if rivers are your thing, checkout the smallmouth bass fishing club. Both can be found on facebook or through google.

There are a ton of folks that were in your situation. In no time what so ever - you will find us... LOL.
