Sorry if this has been asked and I'm a noob, but what is the difference between Zoom finesse and trick worms?

 

Also, I have some Berkley power worms and they smell different than any plastic I have. I keep my tackle box inside but should I keep them in the original package to hold the smell?

 The Zooms:

About 2" in length and slight diameter difference. The Trick will have a larger "tail" at the end.

I use 1/4" heat shrink tubing with both for the rigging in my avatar.

 

The Berkley worms are more than just plastic.

Welcome aboard, @MT523. @Sam is spot-on with

both of your questions.

I keep Power bait plastics in their original bags until I need them in the boat, then they get put in plano box's. They DO NOT need any special handling. They won't lose their stink or effectiveness out of the package. Some ride around in my boat, in the boxes for weeks and months on end until they are needed and still work as good as one fresh out of the pack. Berkley Gulp products, however, do need special care or they dry out and turn to shoe leather pretty quick.

Double bag the Power worms in 1 gallon zip lock bags and keep them in the original package, they last a very long time unopened. Don't add additional scent to Power worms or any other Berkley Power soft plastic.

A trick worm has a football shaped tail end in lieu of a tapered or flat tail end.

 Their Shakey Head worm has a tapered tail.

 

Thanks for the tips on the Power Worms, at least for now I'll keep em in the package. Thanks for the pictures, they are so similar. I guess I'll get both and see if I notice a difference fishing this season.

Do you like the shaky head worm better than the trick worms and finesse worms on a shaky head?  I've use both the finesse and trick worms on shaky heads, but I have yet to buy the shaky head worm.

Trick worms - the best all around worm I have thrown for years - they are killer for big Florida bass and for finesse fishing spots up here -

No, I don't purchase that style worm.
