Best Ball/Round Wobble Head Jig?

Featured Replies

Which brand makes the best ROUND/BALL HEADED Articulated/Swinging/Wobble Head jig? Looking for 1/4oz size.

If I was buying them, it would be the Structure Jig by Strike King. I make my own, that 1/4oz is my favorite size for fishing riprap.

Are yours round head or football head? If they're round, could you sell me a few?

They're football heads. I fish a lot of rock and riprap so it helps keep them from snagging a little bit.

Only plain ball head ones I've seen were at Walmart and they had junk hooks, they were made by Arkie. Tacklewarehouse has them on their site. Only ones I have that aren't football heads are the swinging poison heads.

I've tried a few different types.  For me, the easy answer is Gene Larew Biffle Hardhead.  I don't know that I understand how the subtle differences in line tie locations affect things while working it...however, I do know that these come through anything, even the nastiest laydowns, much better than any other.  They cost a little more than many others....however, I lose far fewer of them...so cost is actually less.  Action of the plastic is awesome -- I use them most often with SK RT Structure Bug, but they work well with a variety of plastics.

OP is looking for 1/4 oz, Biffle head comes in 1/16 oz increments; 3/16 or 5/16 for example.

Eco pro makes some, just got some on sale at a cabela's.  Owner makes my favorite, hands down.  I think they call it a pivot head.
