Ok, so I am trying to decide between one of the following four: Dobyn's Fury 703/704 vs a 733/734. I would like to use this rod to throw big worms in the summer like Zoom Ole Monsters. I normally throw them with anywhere between a 3/16-3/8 oz bullet weight texas rigged. I would also like to use one of these rods to throw spinnerbaits and chatterbaits in the 1/4-1/2 oz range. Spinnerbaits and chatterbaits are not top priority though. My question is which of those four rods would be the best fit? Also, what is the difference between a 703 and 733. What I mean is does the tip of the 733 have more flex than the 703? Is the shorter rod 703 a stiffer rod? The reason I ask is because the 703 includes jigs in the description and the 733 includes lures that I'd attribute to a slightly softer rod tip. Is it true that a 703 would be stiffer than a 733 or not? Ultimately what rod would you guys pick for those applications and why? I am not fishing heavy cover. Also, are Dobyn's rods so underpowered that a MH is like a M or is it more like a Dobyn's MH is somewhere between a M and MH?

I can't provide any insight on the difference between the lengths, but I do have the 733 and 734. Big worms most likely means big hooks and for that reason I'd go with the 734 for better hook penetration. Same reason for choosing the 734 over the 733 for spinnerbaits and chatterbaits. I tend to use my 733 for treble hook baits.

As for being under powered, I can't accurately say how much, but they definitley are.

I don't use superline hooks or anything of that nature. Still think a 724 is better suited?

I do, but take my opinion with a grain of salt. I will say that I use my 733 for spinner/chatterbaits/small tx rigs when I'm out fishing for fun.  However, the whole time I'm thinking I should probably be using a heavier rod. For example, with the 733 I'm comfortable throwing a half oz lipless crankbait, but would be hesitant to throw a half oz jig on the same rod.

To me, I just have more confidence with single hook presentations using the 734 regardless of whether its a regular EWG or a superline EWG.

How well can the 733 throw something such a a keitech on something like a 1/4 oz jig head?

When the Fury first came out, i called and asked for some info, the 734 and 735 have a bit more of a faster tip than the other "fast rods," these were designed to be jig/frog rods. Ive used the 703 and 704 and they are good for moving baits. 

In regards to the 3 vs 4 power, the 3 is a medium in my book. I would not throw a 1/2oz spinnerbait on my 703. Its not that its too heavy, it just gets bogged down when retrieving them. It can handle 1/4 and 3/8 perfectly fine however. 

Tossing 1/4oz -5/16 oz jigs, throwing 1/4-1/2oz spinnerbaits/chatterbaits (colorado blade 1/2 oz you will want a 4 power), 1/4oz weight + bait , the 3 power is perfect.  Its terrible for a 3/8oz weight + bait. Thats 4 power.

Since you looking to throw 1/2 oz I would go 4 power. I would go 704

I have the 733C fury and I wouldn't use it for big worms.  Definitely go with the 704 or 734.

734 all the way except for chatterbaits. A day of throwing chatterbaits on a fast action rod will wear you out and send you home shaking.

I agree with others that the 734C would probably be the best selection.  It is the most versatile rod in the Fury Line.  I have purchased a 703SF, a 705CB, a 734C and a 765flip to round out my arsenal for this Season.  I am really impressed with their rods and can't wait for the Club to get up and running this year.
