I went to my birth home to see my mama this past weekend and to the time to fish a little with my brother.(the old hippie) We went to Lake Harrell which Is a family owned 25 acre pond that we have fished since the early 70's. We got there around nine(9) in the morning and were greeted with 15-20 mph winds, bluebird sky's and It was unseasonably chilly.

It didn't take long to figure out that fishing very slow was going to be the recipe for the day. We caught them In places they rarely are and blanked in places where we knew they should be. The biggest was a little over two(2) lbs. and plenty of keeper sized fish.  The tally for the day(5 hours) was 21 and we earned each and every fish. It was somewhat disappointing but In the end fishing with my brother and the camaraderie that goes with that always makes for a great day! They were caught on Zoom magnum finesse worms, a black/red flake lizard, and a black/red R.I. smallie beaver.
