Definitely didn't see the PG trade coming, not to OKC anyway. Certainly makes things interesting. Im curious how Westbrook's game will be affected.

I was really surprised to see Iguodala talking to other teams. I thought for sure he was a lock to re-sign. Rudy Gay makes sense for the Warriors as a 6th man if Iggy signs elsewhere, but would they have enough cap room to sign him? He could command a bigger contract if he signs somewhere else I would imagine.

I was disappointed to see Rubio traded away from my T Wolves, especially for them to then sign what seems like a significant downgrade in Jeff Teague. He is a better shooter/scorer, but Rubio is a good defender, the best passer in the league and after the all-star break last year, he averaged over 15 PPG on the best shooting of his career. They should have more than enough scoring with KAT, Wiggins and now Jimmy Buckets. They need defense and facilitation, two things that Rubio provided. Im not too down on Teague, he's a decent scorer and an ok passer. I just don't see how replacing Rubio with him makes sense for the Wolves.

IMHO, I think the addition of PG will open things up a bit for Westbrook, he's a more consistent shooter/scorer and better defender than Oladipo.

As for Iguodala hearing what other teams have to say, it's the right thing to do. Then everyone knows what his market value is and can make decisions accordingly. I didn't hear anything about Rudy Gay and the Dubs, but did read he was mentioned as an option for OKC. He's coming back from season ending surgery, and teams maybe a little hesitant this early unless it's under the right terms.

And Rubio is an interesting situation, and there's no question he's a great passer and a good defender. I think after his time in Minnesota, the brain trust had seen enough. Other than the second half of last season he's only shot for a high percentage from the free throw line unless of course the T-wolves were playing the Dubs. If he has turned the corner and continues to improve as a shooter, then the Jazz made out very well. With Teague's shooting opposing teams have to honor it and play defense more straight up and not help off Rubio.

Looks like the 6ers are gonna pay Reddick...

Great game, great season.    JB doesn't seem to like much if it doesn't fit within his parameters.

I'm a big Warriors fan so let's do this!!

  • I think they were sandbagging it. I believe when the playoffs get rolling Lebron will be huge and they will beat the other teams easily. But I'm rooting for the Warriors.

Well, 23 Mil a year for Reddick seems a bit steep but I guess if they are willing to pay that then kudos to him.

As far as Rudy Gay goes, I just wouldn't feel comfortable paying him a huge amount after the injury and possibly losing Kanter, Adams, Gibson or a combination of any 2 of them just to make room in the salary cap.

Not sure if this PG deal is just a one year shot and he still goes to LA or not. One of the rumblings around here is that he may be here to try to get Russ to go to LA next year with him. I think it will be interesting to see what kind of deal Russ signs.

Sixers are finally making moves now that we have a real GM and not some ass clown....i like that he said he was going to sign guys to one year deals and sure enough, that is what he is doing.  JJ is a good pick up and will help out the young guys.  It will be interesting to see if brett brown is able to coach these guys or not.

The sixers SHOULD be a solid team in a year or 2, providing they don't continue to suffer injuries to major players. Then again, it's the sixers.

The way the East is defecting to the west, Sixers might even make the playoffs next year.   I am still not sold on Brown as the coach but this year, he should have zero excuses.  He has talent to work with and a GM who is actually getting players and not draft picks for the first time in a long time.

What do you think of the trade? Irving is one of my favorite players in the league...

I'm on board. Kyrie is a better all around player than Isiah, just the fact that he's taller helps his d. Plus he's been to the finals a couple times, and performed well when it counts. I think Isiah and LeBron are a bad fit.

I would agree about Kyrie being better than IT.  i think IT is on the downswing to be honest and Kyrie seems to be getting better and better.  The Cavs wanted that draft pick more than anything I am sure.

Had to be. Isiah is a FA after this year, so with lebron opting out, they're gonna retool next year.

I think Lebron stays in Cleveland though and they freed up a bunch of cap space after this season now too.

Stays or leaves, he has a lot of miles on those tires. Guys straight outta HS play a lot more than other guys, takes years off the career, and they tend to drop off quickly. I say he's got 1 or 2 more solid years then he starts breaking down quickly.

I think people have been expecting him to breakdown for a few years now and it just hasn't happened.  He is in crazy good shape and has been pretty much injury free.  He also seems to be getting better.  I am thinking he still has another 3-5.  He can just do so much out there and isn't limited by one or two strengths.

Cavs won that trade. IT brings consistency that Kyrie lacks. Adding a legitimate stopper in Crowder takes alot of the defensive load off LeBron. Cavs *on paper* are considerably better than last season after this.

IT is a free agent after this season and is also 3 years older.  He is on the downswing for sure.

Outside of a major injury, neither of them are anywhere close to the W's...
