The Cavs did have what it takes to beat GS but not with GS 's addition of KD. The Cavs need their own KD to be competitive now.

'Ahh Dwight, I'll bite on that one... the Cavs have the "king", the ultimate warrior. At least that's what the t-shirt said after last year's finals.

IMHO, the Dubs defense has been contesting almost every shot by LeBron, Kyrie, and Love. It's not the same defense the Cavs saw in the Eastern series where LeBron got to spin the ball a couple times before draining a three. T. Thompson has been kept off the boards, where he's not getting put backs and the Cavs second possessions. The Dubs pace is how they play and is wearing down the Cavs as was pretty evident towards the end of game 2.

To your point Dwight on the addition of KD, it does force the Cavs to play the Dubs straight up on defense.  And through the first 2 games the regular season defensive rankings are holding true.

Pivotal game tomorrow...

Great game, great season.    JB doesn't seem to like much if it doesn't fit within his parameters.

I'm a big Warriors fan so let's do this!!

  • I think they were sandbagging it. I believe when the playoffs get rolling Lebron will be huge and they will beat the other teams easily. But I'm rooting for the Warriors.

'I can't comment on the national anthem as I was in Oakland with my daughter buying her first car. I'm just glad to hear it is still played before games. Granted, the television networks only show it being played before major contests, otherwise it seems sponsored commercials and what the announcers have to say takes precedence over the national anthem.

Jar11591, I had to fact check on the FGA's and was kind I was kinda surprised at the box score. The Cavs put up 100 attempts to the Dubs 89 shots. It was the three point line where the Dubs poured in 18 3's to the Cavs 8 which really stood out as the difference in my opinion.

The Cavs played hard, but the Warriors matched and then surpassed the Cavs energy level and matching every run in game two. These 2017 Dubs are healthy, focused, and appear to be on a mission excorcise a 3-1 collapse.

Gotta wait for Wednesday evening and in the mean time good fishing all, JB

I just had to add a pic of my happy little girl and her new ride. So I missed the start of the game. It was worth it.

As a Honda retiree, I'm digging that Acura! Great choice!

Thanks Ron, I agree Honda's last forever if you take car of them. As a family we've had 6 Accords and this is the first Acura.

I'm proud to say she's a little saver and has been putting money away since jr high. And her '03 Accord she got in high school has 235k and she finally agreed it was time. Her big sister just bought an Accord, hence the Acura. Funny thing though, same color :D.

Do the Cavs get a victory at home tonight?

They need one...but I don't see it...not the way GS has been playing.

Should be fun watching them try though...   :)

I don't think so. I think it is going to be a sweep. GS looks real tight on both ends of the court. It kind of ruins basketball for me. How is a team expected to compete against a stacked team like that. Meanwhile I'm still stuck here in Philly trusting the process.

That shot by KD....what a disappointment for Cleveland.

WOW! What a game. KD and the Dubs defense was the difference in the end. LeBron and Kyrie had monster games ...

Kevin Durant...

Mic drop...

Ok, just for game 3...and 2...and 1.

Let's see if he and the Dubs can drop the mic

in game 4.

It was a great game from the first period to the last. GS pulled it off in the last to take the lead back and got the win. What a game. I would like to see the Cav. win the next three game so we could watch game 7 because after that no more basket ball until next season.

I saw PJ Carlesimo on ESPN this morning commenting on the Finals. Just reminded me as one example of how far the Warriors have come as a team and organization over the years. I've enjoyed this thread during the playoffs. I am looking forward to a good game, and hopefully a little bit of history. Go Dubs!

Always sad when basketball season ends, but fishing and MLB will keep me entertained right through October. And by that time the NBA will be starting up again!

He'll of a first quarter.

Wow, have yourself a half Cleveland! Draining 3's, Kyrie getting to the rim, 25+ trips to the charity stripe.... Like the great philosopher Yogi Berra once said...

Wow this is some seriously questionable officiating. Not the reason why GS is losing by any means, but what are these officials doing?

Just a few more million dollars involved if there is another game. That's all.

NBA series seems like it always goes 7 games. The first 6 are just set up to make the most intriguing story line leading into game 7. I don't understand why they don't just play one like the NFL on a neutral court. It's the same starters each game, not like MLB where they have different pitchers.
