Hi everybody, 

been a lurker here for a while finally decided to join. As my username implies I'm a fat dude who loves fishing and fish mostly from my kayak. I never thought of using a kayak for fishing until quite recently but have realized the endless possibilities of using one. I'm from Rhode Island and have been fishing since I could pick up a rod, not only do I love to do it I also consider my fishing time as therapy for the constant trials and tribulations of being a self employed contractor and sole provider for my family. Well that's basically me in a nutshell and I'm glad to be on board. BTW I don't do well with condescension or pretentiousness  I deal with it enough with my business each day.

    Welcome FatBasser (I can relate).  I grew up in Middletown back in the early '50's and caught my first bass out of GreenEnd Pond. :D
