what knot do you use for these techniques?

That depends on the line. For mono, which is my choice for these baits, I use an improved clinch. I would assume the improved clinch would be a good choice for copolymer as well. But I think I'd use Palomar for braid/fuoro because that's the only one I know for braid. Not quite sure about the fluoro because I don't use it and there are other personal preference people have.

I use improved clinch with all line except braid, then I use a palomar knot.

I've never used anything but an improved clinch knot. It is fast, easy, and always seems to hold strong for me.

Palomoar you just go around the whole bait? I've done that and it seems off works... but seems off I've tied the improved clinch knot 2 times both the bait has been thrown off my line...

Palomar is about all I use for anything now.  Just go around the entire bait.  Tie it right and you'll never break it.  

 

Others I have tried are the improved clinch, San Diego jam, and UNI knots.  All are good. 

Trilene knot is a lot simpler to tie if you put your index finger in the second loop created . 

Palomine knot- It is the strongest knot for these types of baits-PERIOD

I call it a Palomine knot because if you are my partner in a tournament and you lose a fish due to a snapped line due to the knot -YOU are no longer a  PAL O MINE

Exactly. I have never lost a bait due to a knot breaking or coming undone with palomar. If I get hung up real bad hooks get bent but the knot comes back fine.
