Has anyone ordered from Digitaka before?

Recommended Posts

$233.23 USD for a CHRONARCH MGL 150 17 with free shipping sounds like a steal when you look at other sites, but will the manuals and other booklets be in English or Japanese?

Yes, Digitaka is a great company to deal with, ime.

What about Japan Lure Shop? Any experience with them too? I figure one of those two companies will be where I'll order from.

They're both great and yes everything is in Japanese. I get a kick out of the Japanese newspaper they pack with.  Sometimes they send little extras like candy.

I've had nothing but good experiences with them too. Can't go wrong either way.

Yep both are reputable. Shipping is usually about 5 days from my experience which is often times quicker than I have waited for a TW order to arrive. Price is always better when ordering from Japan unless you find some spectacular sale in the states. Manuals will be in Japanese and you will not have any US warranty.

Ordered a chronarch mgl 151 xg from them a few weeks ago for $235. Had it to the west coast in 6 days. Yes, the manual is in Japanese but I would buy from them again.

I looked at Digitaka and Japan Lure Shop. Frankly, I did not see any super deals on anything. I have had much better prices on lures, reels and some other things at ALIEXPRESS.  A well made spinning lure similar to Rooster tail is $1 or so. Some things are name brands some are stuff the manufacturer makes to sell locally or in Europe. I just bought a Abu Garcia revo rocket2, size 20 spinning reel for $100 delivered. It is perfect, all in English; I saved $100 plus $17. In taxes. To me that is worthwhile considering the risks involved. There are literally hundreds of companies to choose from for fishing items. They also sell almost anything else you might need but it all has to be fairly light weight or shipping costs are impractical. I've had no problems and Aliexpress holds your money in escrow until you get your shipment. If you have a problem contact them right away before they release payment to the manufacturer.
