Daiwa Soft Plastics

Featured Replies

Anyone use them? A few people I follow on Instagram got some of the packs that will be coming to the states from ICast and they are raving about them but I don't know how much is sponsorship influenced. I knew they were in Japan for awhile but I don't want to pay $10-$14 a pack to try them out yet.

are you referring to the Daiwa Yamamoto Neko worms, or is there something else?

I am seeing the Neko worms and Swimbaits

The worms you refer to are only $7.49 on TW and they're just a Yamamoto worm that Daiwa has had their name slapped on it. Daiwa is not manufacturing plastics.

Looked back at some posts on my IG they are using the Yamamoto Neko Worm, Duckfin Shad, Duckfin Bug, Prorex Classic Shad DF, and Skinny Kick. They are all available in Japan with a caption that says available in the US soon.

Besides the Yamamoto worms, when I look the rest up on the bay they range from $10-$20 a pack and all say shipped from either Europe or Japan

I know Okuma owns Savage Gear lures, don't believe Daiwa has any ownership of GYCB and haven't read anything about Daiwa soft plastics lately.

They still seem to be selling over in Europe but I was just curious because that's all my instagram feed as been over the last week is Daiwa plastics coming to Amercia.

They aren't going to work any differently than plastics that are readily available, if that makes you feel better

I just picked up a few packs of the neko worms from tackle direct but haven't thrown them yet

Thank you for the link, Chance Taker. Always interesting to see new stuff like the duck foot/fin shape tails.

Bass anglers are obsessed with anything we believe gives us an edge, they will sell and catch bass.

I'm intrigued as to how well the duckfin and mermaid tail would do as a trailer. That is what the people on my Instagram seem to be using them predominantly for.
