what are good size plastic and type to use on a stand up jig head hook 1\4 oz.... 

 

 

Not trying to be a smartass...it just comes naturally....but it would be easier to list the plastics that won't work on a shakey head.  I have a strong preference for Reins lately, but I can't think of much that I wouldn't try

You can fish a lot of plastics on shaky heads, but my two favorites that are almost all i use are the zoom trick worm/finesse trick worm, and the Strike king finesse wormz and full sized finesse worm.  Green pumpkin is a great all around color.

@Choporoz your cool man lol I'm just really new to the bass field . I appreciate the feed back!!! Wasn't sure if there was a certain type plastic or size that matters with the hooks size.

Not the cheapest, nor easiest to find, but my current favorite.

Start with a 1/8 ounce pack of owner ultra head shaky heads, they have very sharp hooks and I like the style of spring keeper.  1/8 ounce covers 80% off bass fishing situations, so that's a good place to start.  They come with 4/0 hooks which match the full sized 6" trick worms nicely, and if you can get a hold of some poured on 2/0 hooks those are great for 4.5" finesse worms.  A pack of 1/8 ounce owner ultrahead shaky heads, a green pumpkin colored pack of trick worms, and a bag of finesse trick worms in the same color can be bought for $10 and are all you need to start.

I like the any 4-5 inch finesse worm in a watermelonish color. Caught some good ones on a strike king one in candy craw. I also like the big dead ringers in pumpkinseed chartreuse. But those are usually prespawn-spawn.

Soft plastics that float work better than heavy salt loaded salt plastics that sink. Roboworms are good, they are also very soft and tear easily. Most hand pours work good.

I won 3 tourneys in a row last year and a couple this year using a Zoom 7 inch Z3 Trick Worm (Bold BlueGill). That color has worked on every lake I have fished in the last year. I used and highly suggest Pepper Custom Baits Pentr8tor Shaky Head. I've fished it in heavy cover, grass, rock, wood, you name it and rarely do I get hung up. This head will stand a 7 inch Zoom worm straight up "EVERY" time! 80%-90% of the time the hook will bury in the roof of the mouth due to it's design!!!
