Wood cleaning

Featured Replies

I have a lightly colored pine type wood on my seats and I was wondering if you guys had a suggestion for how to clean these things up and just basically brighten them a little. I tried teak cleaner and that didn't cut it.

Depends on what type of finish is on them?

Polyurethane, varnish, Thompson water seal?

You got to sand them first then put your teak oil on. if its not teak get rid of it

They are factory sealed with a clear finish, and like I said they're pine. I think im gonna have to sand em down and re finish em.

Be careful not to over sand, use a fine grit or even steel wool  :D
