Had Cast Industries make me a custom swim jig head based on a conversation and this is what they came up with. So what does everyone think about it as I am on the fence?

Looks ok. This is gonna sound too critical, but I'm picky when it comes to swim jigs. 

1.  I like a bit bigger hook.  I don't want any chance of it bending in thick cover. That hook might work for a grass jig but looks a bit thin to me. 

2. Angle looks good   

3. I like a better wire trailer keeper. 

Deminsions look good.

This is a medium wire 5/0 Mustad hook that works better around here. The thicker Mustad 32886 requires heavier equipment and I have lost several nice fish from it. As for the keeper I went back and forth but decided on this one because the wire one tore the trailers up too much.

That's bigger than it looks in the picture. Should look good all dressed up.

i prefer a bullet head jig-seem to rotate more freely with the swim bait.  I'm sure many fish have been caught on this type, though, so if it works, fine.  Also, with some swim baits it is hard to put them onto the jig without reducing the hook gap a lot.  Leading, IMHO, to missed fish.  They strike but within a few seconds are off.  With a bullet head you can put the swim bait on sideways and it still seems to "fit."  Sideways you can run the hook close to the surface minimizing gap reduction.

I have been using this hook for several years with 3.8 fatimpact Keitechs and have no problems except small fish biting the tails off.

 

Head design l am still not sure about?  Currently I use the Do It grass jig which is what most others use. I watched a video by Bill Lowan and his opinion is a keeled head is better since it doesn't roll. I fish swim jigs in grass or open water on 12lb line so I guess I will give them a try. .

Personally I love the Kustom Kicker Jig Deposit Swim Jig head. It is very thin and works in all situations and I cannot find a match that looks and works like it. It is very similar to what you have created which gives me enough intrigue to try a bait made with this mold. Ill attach a link to the Deposit Swim I was talking about.

That jig is similar and I can see that they are using round rubber for the skirts.

All 2K jigs are round living rubber skirts and copper hand tied.
