So i won a new rod but extra heavy?

Featured Replies

There was a contest here recently and for the first time in my life i actually won something.

its a Daiwa celios extra heavy fast.

Im assuming its a pitching rod into heavy cover but i really havent tried that. if i see heavy cover i tend to use a frog.

What  other technique can I use this rod for. Im not really into big heavy swimbaits but i do jig fish.

Maybe try and trade it for something else?

What are the specs for the rod? Lure ratings and length

Be a great rod for pitching heavy Texas rigs or jigs.

Sounds like a great frog rod too. Maybe some big topwaters like a whopper plopper as well.

I had that exact rod.  It's not as heavy as you'd think.  My problem with it was the handle.  It was way too short and threw the balance way off.  Wasn't a fan.
