I know it's kind of a open question, but I'm going to be picking up a trolling motor, graphs, etc for my boat this winter, and Many of you have mentioned Black Friday ( day after Thanksgiving) for the best sales. Traditionally speaking, are these advertised ahead of time or just kind of at the moment. Also I know to look at TWH, BPS, Cabelas. Any other places you would recommend I keep an eye on.

If you want to get one of the somewhat newly released models that are unlikely to go on sale, you can create your own sale so to speak by buying discounted gift cards. Staples had a 20% off Cabela's $50 electronic gift cards a few weeks ago, so I bought a bunch of them and bought a Helix 9 when they had a free shipping code a couple days later. Ebay frequently has 18-20% off the Cabela's cards, so you wouldn't need to wait for a random Staple's sale.
