I am looking for a good traveling boat cover for my triton. I would like it to be water proof and uv protected. What would you suggest?

It's best to use a custom fit if you're trailering.  Try Triton or a local cover maker.  Be prepared, they're not cheap.  

Local is best - if not go directly to Triton: don't go with an Aurora Canvas

Del at Aurora Canvas made the cover for my Champion.  It has several thousand miles on it and spends around 100 nights each year in campgrounds.  It is the best cover I have ever seen in my life.  It is way better than any which my friends have.

yeah...go with one made for your boat and BE SURE to get one referred to as TRAILERABLE. There are Trailerable covers and storage covers...two completely different qualities of cover!

I would order it from a Triton Dealer, but call several for prices. I was recently shopping for new cover for my boat and I found the prices were all over the board! For the same cover, ordered from Tracker, there was as much as a $200 dollar difference from Dealer to Dealer.

After 2 leaky, sloppy fitting custom covers from the folks at Aurora, both made of Sunbrella material I finally got my money back and went with a custom cover made locally.  It is Top Gun material and 100 % waterproof.  It fits my Skeeter like a glove and looks like new after 2 years of use.

The Aurora covers were ordered thru the dealer and even Skeeter couldn't help with the leaky, lousy fit.  They even re-treated the first one and it was worse the second time around.

Well, I guess I do have a dog in this hunt.  Got an Aurora cover thru Triton when I bought my boat.  It doesn't leak and fits like a glove.  That's my Aurora experience.

strange that there would be so much onconsistancy in Aurora's quality...I wonder if they farm out certian makes/models to sub contractors and sell them under their name...

I am and ALWAYS WILL BE a really big fan of shopping local. I believe in supporting business's close to home. ( as close as possible anyway). I will pay a wee bit more for something if I know it supports local industry or business's. It is just something I believe in. I may choose some local maker for just that reason.
