Kayak and fishfinder placement

Featured Replies

Ok guys, this is going to be a multi part question. Feel free to come I  if you have experience with any of the following. I jabbed an Old Town Predator PDL and am wanting to put a fish finder on it. There is an accessory from Old Town that is compatible with Humminbird units that mount news the front. I am leaning more towards the Garmin echo map plus 63cv and am curious how much" retro fitting" ill hafta do to get this to fit.

Next question is, does the LakeVu maps work with the Humminbird units.  The LakeVu Map list contains more of my local lakes than Navionics and Lakemaster, although Lakemaster is close.

Thanks for any input.

Only thing i could help you with is mount with the ram balls.  Then if you decide you want to move something you can swap out the position of the monitor with a rod holder or other accessory.  Prevents a lot of extra holes in the boat.

I have a hummingbird helix 7 that i am working on instillation and making a bracket for the transducer.  I have a nucnoe classic 12.

I use the Yak Attack CellBlok on a gear track along the right side of my kayak.  I love that I have my fish finder, battery and transducer all in one unit that I can remove anytime.

I have a fairly open boat (Commander 140), so I use the YakAttack plate and the existing slide tracks.

I have a Nucanoe Frontier and used the YakAttack cell block to mount my Hummingbird Hook4x. I am with Hawkeye, i like that i can easily remove everything at by removing 2 knobs.

Thanks guys, that looks good but how wide is it. With the pedal drive installed I don't have a lot of room.  the fact I'm 603 and 255 doesn't help with room either.

I will have to do some measurements this afternoon.

Here's a link to it which has the dimensions.  https://www.yakattack.us/CLB_1001_p/clb-1001.htm

Add another 3/4" to the width on their site for the cable saddles on the side. Thanks for posting the link.
