The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

Featured Replies

This isn't my fishing report but just a general report of a couple of posts from trips fisherman made on our local fishing forum yesterday. The Good - A pic of a nice double-digit bass caught from the bank on a Rat-L-Trap. A personal best for him. One of many double-digit bass being caught on Chickamauga Lake these days. The Bad - "legal" but improperly maintained besides unethical commercial gill nets stretched from one end of the lake to the other. The Ugly - the fisherman in these pics got hung up in one of these nets. It had quite a few bass in it and while most were dead he was able to save a few. Chickamauga Lake went through a long down period as far as bass fishing goes but with less spraying of grass and the introduction of Florida strain bass it has made a huge comeback especially with very large bass. The pictures of the bass in these nets just makes me sick.

That just pi**es me off!!

If I saw that net while fishing I'd put enough holes in that thing you'd be able to drive a truck through.!!

Nice of you to say that -- thank you friend. I hope we can get a report or two posted soon but with high muddy water mixed in with the cold water now...it's gonna be tough !
