You know that is going to be on the mind of some of the long time Caps players.  You finally get a monkey off your back and an even bigger monkey comes walking through the door, looking for a place to squat.

 

The Caps definitely have the talent to win, but I think it will be a mental battle more than anything.  Having watched Vegas handle the Ducks, Kings & Sharks all year, this should be a good series.

Caps made a lot of hockey fans last night.  What a game!!  

i cheer for all DC sports teams. its nice to finally have another championship in town, first since the 91-92 redskins

Ovechkin and company have had quite the celebration since winning too.  Is there a better venue to win a championship than Las Vegas?

I’m just waiting to see if Ovie’s gonna come to training camp weighing 300 lbs and so out of shape he can’t even skate, the way he’s been ripping it up. Maybe he’ll remember around mid August that he’s gotta start hitting the gym and ice again ?.
