Wildeye Swim Shad 1/8oz

Featured Replies

Has anyone used these?  Would they be good for both bass and trout?  (the 2", 1/8oz lures).  I saw them in store and thought they looked neat.

Thanks.

I have used the bigger ones and they work well for bass .   Bank fishing on rip rap dams is a good place to use them . That way   you can let them sink to the bottom , pop them up then retrieve close to the bottom with occasional pauses .  They are so inexpensive you can lose a few to the rocks and not be out much .

Not sure about Trout but a guy I work with does pretty well with them for largemouth and white bass.

I've used them. In the all white color... and can say I caught a couple bass with them...

Not one of my favorites tho...

No, the 1/8oz size does barely anything at all in the water. Plastic is too stiff, head is too light, and tail is too small. The 3, 4, and 5 inch sizes are good baits. Get some Little Cleo spoons in 1/8, 1/6, or 1/4 ounce and you will be catching bass and trout along with whatever else eats minnows in the lake you're fishing.
