Kevin VanDam Headlines the 2018 Bass Fishing Hall of Fame Inductees

Featured Replies

I like that in a lot of professional sports, the members of their respective halls of fame no longer compete. However, with something like fishing, an absolute shoe in like KVD could continue to compete for a long time, so the fishing hall of fame really doesn't have a choice but to induct him. Might as well do it now. Like the article states, he's one of the most recognizable names. It helps popularize the hall of fame by putting him in.

The man is a power fishing machine.  I have seen him lose a big bass at the boat and not so much as a wimpier, or tantrum, like some of these guys.  His lure was back in the water in seconds, and back in focus.  He is not the guy you want in second place when your winning with 30 minutes left.  6 million in winnings, and he has a long time left to go.

His head is Big Enough.

Good for him!

well deserved

But what if he ends up testing positive for PED's someday?

They'll have to add an asterisk to his name.

:wink3:

Gary Klein is a true gentleman on the water with a fish catching performance that's well deserved...like to see him win the elusive Classic for the icing on the cake with a HOF career...

good fishing..

Right?

And even if he did have an ego, if anyone deserves to have one, it's him.

But he's not egotistical. He is one of the nicest guys I've ever met.
