MK Edge 45 speed malfunction

Featured Replies

  • Super User

My MK edge has 5 speeds, when set on 2 it will briefly operate as expected then take off like it is in 4th speed.  Moving up to 3rd slows it down to normal 3rd speeds and going up to 4th resumes the speed experienced in 2nd speed.  Any ideas or solutions?

Little tricky to do accurate long distance diagnosis.

But my guess (and experience with similar deals) is the 'control board', may be kaput.

Time to see your friendly neighborhood authorized Minn Kota repair center perhaps.

That's how I'd bet.
