Booyah Poppin Pad Crasher

Featured Replies

Hi, I wondering what everyone’s thinks about the Poppin pad crasher? I just picked some up a few days ago to use in a tournament I’m in this weekend. Is it a good frog? Is it good in cover? Thanks!

It's a great frog. I use all 4 Booyah frogs. The regular, the jr., the popping, and the new toad runner.

The popper gets the call for me over deep clear water with thick grass, or in stained shallow water. I think it "calls them up" better in adverse conditions than the regular frog. I won a tournament last year on a lake not known for a frog bite,  using the popping frog over 15' deep coontail beds, that were almost touching, and sometimes were touching the surface. Everyone else that day flipped grass or fished docks, and caught little. The fish were high in that coontail roaming around, and I caught almost 19lbs, + dozens of fish on a day most guys struggled to get bit.

Yes, a very good frog, as many out there are. Good hookup ratios.

youll be fine.

I have two of them myself... I've tossed them in some really gnarly stuff and even sent into a tree or two by mistake and they come back! Yet to get a hit on one, but I suspect it's my poor frog skills.

Good frog and I generally use a popping frog unless it is really thick stuff and the standard version gets through it better without getting hung up.  Another good one is the terminator popping and walking frog.

My favorite, can't go wrong with a cricket frog popping pad crasher.

Great frog I’ve had good luck with the Poppin Frog and the regular frog. Last week they would swipe at the popping frog but never could hook up but then they’d choke the regular frog in the same color. Idk how you explain that one, y’all have any ideas?
