Curious to know the heaviest swimbait you would throw with this Curado model.

I'm not sure. I guess one would have to experiment with it to see what the reel and your thumb can handle. I guess it would depend on how far you wanted to cast it in the end. Shorter casts probably wouldn't be to bad while longer casts might make your thumb smoke depending on lure weight.

Put it on whatever rod can handle the bait \. The only thing you need to concern yourself with using that reel is your retrieve speed, but I like to work a swimbait slow,and that reel is ideal for that.

One thing I noticed is that as far as new reels on the market very few have a 5:1 gear ratio.

Only limitation is line capacity.

I use a 200B for Bull Shads but it'll fish bigger baits, just can't cast them a long way because of limited line capacity.
