How is everyone? I’m moving to Pigeon Forge, TN, and I just wanted some advice on the best rivers to kayak fish for smallies. Also, info on drop in / pull out locations. All recommendations would be gladly appreciated!

There is a lot of places to fish near Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. I use to go up there fishing a lot but since the fire, I am not even sure the places are accessible. Not quite sure how the surrounding area is doing. I mostly fished for rainbow, brook, brown trout when I was there.

Thank you!

I just want it to be noted that I am very jealous of you. I vacationed in that area a few years back and I want to live there until I die, but I am stuck in in The People's Republic of New York for the time being.

I only fished a little bit on my trip on the pigeon river. Few smallies, but nothing to write home about. Let us know how you make out.

little pigeon river. I prefer to fish the stretch in Townsend. Another place and I can't remember the name of the water but there is a small river almost a creek that follows the Cades Cove access road. Its been a while since I have fished down there. Used to live in Sevierville and Cocker Creek.
