Bought a LCR 38sp, looking for holster recommendations. Buddy said go with Alien Gear. Any other suggestions?

The beauty with a gun that size is that you have a ton of options.  First you need to decide if you want pocket carry, IWB or OWB. I have a dozen holsters and the one I grab the most is the cheapest one...NRA, the next is OWB

I've got a LCP for pocket carry. I may go with 2, one for IWB and one for OWB. Haven't decided yet. OWB is going to be more comfortable but I will need to pick and choose my shirts. Thanks for the response

I carry the LCP in lightweight canvas belt holster I bought at Tractor Supply. Nite/Ize innovation that is actually a cell phone holster. It is so light you can hardly feel it.Works great.Ten bucks.

Wasn't a fan of my alien gear holster. I prefer slimmer kydex. I like "on your 6" holsters out of Texas.

Remember, the belt is part of your gear. Definitely search for something beefy

Absolutely DO NOT buy an Alien Gear holster. I have bought 3 different AG holsters and I ended up returning all 3 of them. The latest one I bought was for my Sig P320. The Kydex was molded wrong and completely wore the finish off my slide from just one time of putting the 320 in the holster. I have multiple friends who have also bought AG holsters and were not impressed with them either. There are so many other better options.

Because you have a revolver, I have to ask. Are you looking to carry IWB or outside? I like wheel guns myself, but I prefer to carry them OWB myself. Do yourself a favor and spend a few more dollars and get a quality holster. Here are a few companies I recommend.

I'd like to do IWB but I'm a fatazz and not sure how comfortable IWB will be. I'm more than likely just going to keep the gun with me when I'm in the truck and would like the option to carry if need be.

Most of the guys i know who carry daily carry IWB, both wheel guns and pistols.

It sounds like you have some friends who carry. Here's what I would recommend. Go meet up with one of them and ask to try out their holsters. You'll quickly find that every person and body shape carries differently. So see where is comfortable on your person, and what positions conceal the best. Sometimes, they're not the same position, so you need to adjust accordingly.

As we move into the cooler months, OWB is my go-to as it is easy to conceal

I carry at the 8:30 position. Less fat their and it gets comfortable with time

Real Man's / Woman's belt. They don't sag over time like your typical GAP crap/retail store belt. Hand made.

I ran a CloakTuck 3.0 for a while with my P-01 and it distributed the weight nicely. However I'm on to single clip kydex Dara's now.

I have the AG for my Sig P320 and have had absolutely no issues with it and I also have one for my P365 and have had no problems with it rubbing the coating off the weapon either.  I have had my P320 holster for almost 2 years and carry it every day.  It is very comfortable and reliable.

Definitely do not go cheap on the belt, the proper belt can make all the difference, I use Hanks Premier CCW belt.
