Just "re-found" another rod in the storage. I'm gotta pair it up with the Curado 70.

What fishing presentations would be suitable for this ?

I have a Gloomis Bronze Back that is similar.  I have a Curado X70 on it.  I use 6# fluorocarbon line and fish Ned rigs with it.

Poppers and jerkbaits come to mind first off. Depending on how slow the moderated action is it could possibly be a good drop shot and neko rig rod

To me, the moderate action takes "feel" or single hook techniques off the table.

I think this rod would be well suited for spybaits, rapala minnow baits, small topwaters and cranks, etc.

Since I just had my butt handed to me by a half dozen bass while using a M/L spinning rod, I feel I can speak with a little (darned little) authority on this subject. I was using small square bills, small Husky Jerks, 1/8-oz shakey heads with 4-inch senkos, and unweighted Exosticks. Used 2/0 shakey heads and 3/0 light wire Owner CPS with the Exosticks. Oh, and 10-lb test mono, which probably didn’t help.

Results:

Square bill   - Hooked 3 ..... Boated 3

Jerk bait      - Hooked 1 ..... Boated 1

Shakeyhead - Hooked 2 ..... Boated 0

Unweighted  - Hooked 4 ..... Boated 1

I was in my sit-in kayak and I don’t get the greatest hook sets, but from the number of times I nearly fed myself my worm, I would definitely say the fine folks above aren’t lying!  I love wrestling a feisty bass on a M/L rod, but i’m going to stick with treble-hook lures.

Just a guess, but I suspect that spinning or baitcasting rigs would probably produce similar results.

Thanks guys for your inputs on that. I think I got a better idea since I did try to use it with one straight hook and it was always "MISSED" hookset. No wonder it went in the back of my storage :)

Going to try for poppers and crankbait to see how it handles.
