Got on a nice bass this Tuesday. Water temps were 42. Wind was around 6-7 mph (cant remember which direction). I was throwing the Rapala Shadow Rap 5-6' diving jerkbait in a perch pattern when this hog slammed it. My line went heavy, and she pulled off, then came back an WACKED it! 8 pounds 12 ounce Virginia STUD! Tight lines yall!

    Wow!!  I tried a jerkbait here ... no luck.  It kept bouncing off the ice. Did suspend well on the hard water though.

    It was on a 5 second pause. My second largest jerkbait fish!

    Love the late fall/winter jerkbait bite.

    My biggest problem is I tend to fish them too fast in cold water. Have to keep forcing myself to slow down.
