I've done trips for smallies and largies, but never spots. I don't know what it is but I have always had a borderline obsession with them, even though my experience with them is nill. I would really like to do take a little trip down to Alabama around mid March and try to crack on a few Coosa river spots. I'm not asking for honey holes, or anything like that. I'm simply asking what I should expect given the time of year. Any help is appreciated, I have no interest in a guided trip just because I'm pretty hard headed, so much so that I'm kinda kicking myself for this post haha any info is good info, and again I really appreciate it

Mid-March will be wet, it usually is. Logan-Martin will still be at winter pool levels. There are a lot of fish in Logan-Martin. 

 

I’d probably go to Gadsden and fish Neely-Henry. Look at putting in at the highway 77 boat launch. Traditionally a better fishery. 

 

I don’t know much about Lay Lake, I see people posting pictures of big spots.
