First mold done, came out better than expected. Needs a few touch ups. Stands at 45-60 degree angle. Lead came out 25-26/100 which is exactly where I wanted it so basically 1/4oz.  Hoping the next two are 1/7 and 1/12. We'll see. Very excited

They look great.  In my experience with the Ned, I don't like the collar prong bait holders.  I either want the wire style or screw wire or to have them poured on an offset hook so that I can rig it weedless.  

So is this a mold that you designed and made yourself?

Yes, have two other sizes coming as well as a weighted shank hook.

So you prefer the wire keeper over the lead collar??  My experience if you use any other bait with the wire other than the elastic kind they tear very easy.  I caught 5 fish on this one the other day and was still fishable. But on another note I designed my mid size head to have both a collar and wire keeper but after this one o might take the wore keeper off

If you use Elaztech plastics, they won’t stay on the jig over the molded in collar. You need the wire keeper to hold Elaztech.

Thanks good to know the next one I do will have both so should work great I hope. The small size will only have wire keeper

That just looks like a good overall jighead that could be used for many applications.

Nice looking Ned heads. Totally agree re: wire holder for

Elaztech baits. Haven't tried the new, heavier jig from 

Z-man that has the collar locks.

They hold well until the plastic softens up.  They hold very very well with a drop of glue on the keeper.  The hook is too large/thick for my taste but they are quality heads.

Thanks. I haven't pulled the trigger for that reason - big/thick hook.

these will be available shortly and the prices will be way more appealing than the ned rig.  

They look good, what model hooks are you using?

Mustad 3/0 and 4/0 for larger heads. Vmc #1 and 1/0 for smaller heads have one more coming will be using vmc #1 1/0 and 2/0 hopefully
