Osprey Talon Line Through

Featured Replies

I recently purchased a 6” osprey talon line through Swimbait and I caught my first fish on it yesterday. Both eyes came off and the bait ripped down the middle of the nose down to the weight system. Anyone here ever replace eyes that come off of an osprey? I was going to mold a small tube into it for the line through to keep that from ripping every fish catch but am having trouble finding something that tiny. I was kind of disappointed on the durability but I know mend it will be my friend on soft Swimbaits.

I use to throw the Osprey, but now I'm throwing the 3:16 baits. Their durability is not any better so I always keep the glue on hand when fishing them. (3:16 added a free bottle of their glue the last order I made, not sure if they always do that.) Back when I fished the Osprey line through I would brush glue over the eyes before using (Still do that on the 3:16) and that helped to keep the eyes on. I also used small shrink tubing, can't recall the exact size, to run my line through the Osprey. Pictured is the 3:16 5.25" Minnow, comes 4 to a pack with beast hook.

Optimum Baby Line Thurs have been much more durable than Osprey for me. They're not as nice looking, but they catch fish really well and last much better.
