Fish Juice?

Featured Replies

Let me ask you guys a question...I know years ago we used to add stuff like BaitMait to our soft plastics. Is this still something that you use? Is it even needed since most soft plastic manufacturers put additives in their baits these days?

Thoughts?

I never was a big believer in adding scent to baits. In my opinion most of it washed off on the first cast.

the only thing I use is JJ's magic or spike it. the only reason I use them is to add color. I could care less about adding scent.

All soft plastics I use are salt impregnated. In my opinion that is enough to mask the plastic smell or taste.

I don’t use any scent, and I don’t allow anyone who fishes from my boat use it either. Had an accident with some stuff. It stunk up my boat and my garage all summer. If I want my wife to keep allowing me to fish whenever I want, I can’t take the chance of anymore accidents.

I've never been a add-on scent user, although I do believe that baits like Powerbait do help catch fish, at times.  However, I am a big fan of the Berkley Havoc line, and they have no scent or salt, and have caught me a ton of fish.

MegaStrike is "user friendly" and very effective. I am not convinced that the goo "attracts" bass,

but I think they hold on a little better. I NEVER fish soft plastics without it!

AGREED !

Huge Fan of Megastrike right here.

You'll never know the magic until you try it.

It is the real deal.
