My daughter recently moved back to Illinois and we've had a number of opportunities to get on the water together.  She knows that I like to target the bigger fish in the lake and we decided to do just that on this outing. Six hours of nothing (normal for me) and she wanted to pack it in.  On the way back to the ramp I talked her into hitting one more spot. I tied on a hand tied hair jig with a 6in. finesse worm as a trailer.  She cast it out and I told her to let it sit without moving it, for a minute. After almost a minute she said it's time to go, went to reel in and this beauty wouldn't let her. Her first largemouth over 6lb.

Great write up about your daughters accomplishment.

It's always a blessing & a great feeling to pass on something to your kiddo's and you witness it bring them a sense of joy and fulfillment.

Here is my daughter Jayla's PB large-mouth she snagged from Beeswax Creek in Columbiana, AL.

Here also is the behind the scenes story; "I gave her my beaten old school Bass Pro Shop bait-caster that I was about to trash, she rebuilds it, loads it with 12lb Trilene XL, tosses a 12 inch Zoom Mag OL Monster pumpkin-seed colored worm around and through a shallow weed bed...and BOOM a 7.8lb bucket-mouth erupts and she hauls it in!!!!

Beats the crap outta my PB!!!?? ? ??

And she'll never forget it! What a great memory. Some of my favorites are out with my pops fishing off the dock growing up.
