G. Loomis IMX Pro

Featured Replies

What’s the general consensus on the IMX Pro’s? Are they very sensitive for their price range? Balanced well? Good ergonomics? Worth the price?

I’ve been using donyns champion series and just haven’t been impressed with their sensitivity in the champion series. I’ve been kicking around the idea of using their trade in program and upgrading to the extreme series to try them out. However, If the IMX’s are a better rod with better sensitivity for about the same price, I don’t want to waste my money upgrading to the extremes.

Better off going IMX

I don’t think they make the classic IMX bass rods anymore,  except a few 6’ers.

Referring to the IMX pro. The sensitivity is much better than the Dobyns Champ

Ah sorry bud.

I currently own 1 e6x, 2 imx pro’s, 3 2016 version of the glx, 1 nrx and in the market for a second nrx as we speak. The imx pro’s I feel are a fantastic rod. Comparing them to my expride, champion, envy black, daiwa zillion, kistler helium lta (oldest first gen helium) I feel they are an good value, excellent sensitivity and balance! Still one of my favorite rods

I own two and can't find anything I don't like about them! Go for it, you can't go wrong.

I also own a couple imx-pro's.  Rods are light and balanced, with sensitivity seemingly on par with my old models.  I'd recommend one.  #underloved
