Has anyone ever seen a Remington fishing rod?

I used to use one for salmon fishing

Not familiar with the caliber of those rods, but I'd probably fish them with .12 or .20 gauge line....

 

Coincidentally, I stopped in a mom and pop gun/tackle shop yesterday, and was looking at some shotguns, and the conversation turned to something like "this is a turkey gun AND it's made in Turkey? What are the odds?" followed by several trigger and cocked puns, mom was amused, pop, not so much...

Picked up some BB offshore snap swivels for a song.

Yes I have an old Remington 2 piece rod. And yes, ReMington not redington. It’s been collecting dust in my garage so long I don’t even remember where it came from. 

I have a Remington 7' casting rod I picked up many years ago. Its one of the best rods Ive used and I have a hell of a pile of premium name rods. Rumor had it (not sure if its true though) that Remington used surplus G Loomis blanks. Wish I would of bought a few more just to stash.

Don't forget Winchester rods made by E. W. Edwards (after Winchester bought the company)

Browning made rods too or atleast had thier name slapped on them.  I had one as a kid.  They were usually cheaper spinning rods 

Browning still makes rods and reels unless Bass Pro discontinued them.  Midas and Citori were there reels.  I used them a ton when I was BPS Pro Staff.  I really liked them and still have a stash.  

Browning bought Silaflex, one of the west coast glass makers that came out of WWII aircraft production.  

My first graphite rod was a Browning Hi-Power, and my first Lew's was marked for Browning.  

 

um, they also made Ma Deuce.
