New Bass Cat???

Featured Replies

I am looking to get back in a Bass Cat again.  Kids are older and much more independent, so I have a lot more "ME" time these days.  I sold my Pantera II when they got busy in sports.  I have been looking at boats and cannot make up my mind.  Do I go with the Pantera II again or take a step up to the Caracal?  I want the boat to stay below 20'. so these are my 2 choices.

Any suggestions or comments?

Also, how many of you are running the G2 Evinrude?  Are you happy?

That depends on OB hp and fuel capacity options. If you plan on 200-225 hp to run longer distances on big lakes the larger heavier boat is a good option.

The Caracal is definitely the long run boat of the 2 with 52 gallons of petro !!!  They both will run close to the same speed based on their Max Hp and weight.

I’ve said many times if price was no issue, the only boat I would trade mine for is a Caracal.  Might need a longer garage though to store it...

...then it gets a lot more expensive because I’d need a bigger house..

My personal opinion for the price difference I would go with the Pantera ll & upgrade the electronics.

Bass Cat offers an optional 43 gal fuel capacity. 43 gallons is standard on the Caracal, 52 & 59 gallon  optional at additional cost.
