What pound test leader?

Regarding leader specs, I do not recommend anything lighter than 8 because I've never found an 6 that was not to fragile.  Most of the time I use 12.  I see no need, even in clear water, for anything lighter exc for spybaits.

Leader diameter can change the drop speed, as well as, help regulate the speed/depth at which a lighter lure can be retrieved.  A 12lb mono leader will significantly slow the drop speed of a 3/32oz hair jig and allow you to almost suspend it in the water column, where as a 4lb leader will allow the same jig to be livelier and retrieved at a quicker tempo.  It's about fine tuning your presentation and that can make a huge difference.

Just like to report back that the KK 10# braid and 8# Segaur FC leader and the Alberto knot worked just fine. Nice casting and was able to feel the NED rig without any problem. Thank you for everyone's input.
