After a few very slow weeks, all seams back to normal.

Heavy winds have scattered the fish and today is the 3rd day with a constant and same direction wind. On a whim, I moved off the structure and hit the windward banks and pulled a dozen 2 1/2- 3.75 in an hour.  Sadly back to work for 10:00

Temps have dropped from 73 to 68 in just a few day and bait fish are being blown to the back coves....

Switch is off here too favorite lake had algae bloom ruined the visibility and the bite for over a month now. July was fantastic then click shutdown. Went by lake and starting to clear again.

We are still waiting for the complete Summer to Fall transition here....and I'm thinking September 10th through October 10th the Smallmouth Bass bite will be bananas ! At least it was last season around that time! Nice catch by the way !

I've spent my time practicing casting and tieing knots faster. LOL!

Northern California here and the transition has begun here as well. It exciting!

Maybe it's just me but something about the late Aug./mid Sept. period always seems tough. It's usually very calm. I refer to it as the doldrums after the situation old time mariners faced when they couldn't make any progress. Did manage several today but none over 15". Waiting for that first real cold front. They're predicting temps near 90 this week. Seems Sept. has been an extension of summer in recent years. Good job Bull. Would love to experience New England.

Come down here and turn our switch on! Water temps this morning (3 am) were 83-84 and the bite was slow. The hunter (Orion) popped above the horizon last night and I heard my first bull elk bugle as I was leaving the lake, so I know cooler temps are coming. Raining coming Friday, maybe that will turn our switch on.

Haven't fished since sunday here in NJ, but I would imagine that the switch is in effect here sooner or later. Bite shutdown for most of us here once mid August came around.
