Some parts of the deep south are getting blasted again.  As much as 43 inches of rain, now that's crazy.

Winnie TX is 100 miles west of me, they have received 38" & more to come.

 

We're fine with just minor flooding ?

My granddaughter lives in Huffman Texas. She called today and was telling me about flooding, heavy winds, and pouring rain there.

We've had zero measurable rain for three weeks here. I can walk on dry ground where I was catching bass a month ago. One would have thought that after Harvey such an event wouldn't happen again in our lifetime. Weather gurus are citing high gulf temps.

We are in the same shape as @The Bassman. No rain in over three weeks and daily high temps have been in the low to mid 90s almost every day. Went fishing on a creek the other day. The water had so much algae and leaves piling up it wasn't fishable in a lot of areas. Finally got in to some cleaner water but still didn't catch much.
