Braided Line Knots

Featured Replies

Hey BR,

There are SO many different knots, but when it comes to knots for braid I have 3 knots that I use almost exclusively (98%+) In this video I share my top 3 knots for braided lines.  They have served me VERY well.

THANK YOU for watching!   JN

Caution with the unsealed eye is a very good point! I went years not even noticing it until a guy in our bass club mentioned it.

Thanks again James!

I kinda got away from tying the double Palomar on a frog for some reason. I used to do it all the time.
Gotta remember that.

I love a palamar knot for braided line. Easy to tie and I’ve never had one slip out.

The way I have always heard a double palomar knot works is that you basically tie two overhand knots. It can actually be difficult to cinch it down that way on lures like frogs where the hook ring starts to pull out of the body but I can attest that definitely is a very strong knot.

That said, this year I am going to try tying it the way that you demonstrated and see how that works out for me.
