I'm wondering what the difference between the two would be??

TWS = T Wing System

TW = T Wing

 

When I see the acronyms, I think they're almost interchangeable, except one is a specific component (the T Wing) of the entire mechanism (T Wing System).

 

Point is, both mean the same. TWS and TW is used interchangeably.

TW is the new model. I think they're quite similar. The new one is lighter tho. Tackle Warehouse has the old model listed as TWS and the new one TW.

 

I think TW and TWS is the same. They may have just dropped the "S" on the new model. *edit* Actually if you look on Daiwa's site, the old models (listed as TWS on most sites) are just listed as "TW".

Is the SV TW 103 ( https://daiwa.us/collections/baitcasting-reels/products/tatula-sv-tw103 ) a smaller frame than the SV TWS https://daiwa.us/collections/baitcasting-reels/products/tatula-sv-tw

? All of these different Tatulas get confusing...

This is the '17 model which is still in production. It has the larger CT frame. The '20 model is a wee bit more compact.

P.S. The '17 model is prettier, paint and color accents, if that matters to you. Looks more high end.

Thank you for your help. I like the 17 with the accent colors but went with the 20 for its compact size. I really appreciate it!
