I only have used it once so it maybe too early to tell if it would work for leader.  As far as stretch goes, it doesn't seem to stretch much but I used it in 40 degree water this past weekend.  I think I will need to fish it for some more and at better water temps to tell.

Also, just a personal preference, I like FC for leader if I am using it with braid which would be rare. Abrazx would be my choice for this but I tend to use whatever I have left over from a spool of FC now.  What I like about though....Abrazx tends to be super tough, last a long time, and has minimal stretch.

Keep me updated on how the Defier performs

Most nylon mono lines are co or multi polymers.

Yes, I would warrant that all nylon lines for fishing are co- or multipolymers. But they are still all nylons. My uncle worked at duPont, and from what he told me, this entry seems accurate.

What I said still holds.  The only line I use that would be called nylon mono is Rippin'.  The rest fall into other categories.  It's irrelevant, since Rippin' was discontinued.  I'll be hoarding my stash in a cool, dry, dark place.  When it runs out, I'll probably go back to Sufix.  For bass fishing, I'll continue to use fluoro and braid.

Do you use fluoro as a leader?

Seaguar Blue Label

This is only my opinion but, I hate stren mono. I’ll use the flouro carbon for leaders though.  The mono To me is just stiff and doesn't like to be tied. It’s the only mono that I had horrible wind knots and tangled in my spinning rods during my river days.

Just bought 10lb BG and some 8lb Stren for the first time.  Have always used Trilene XL and XT so I am curious to see how they perform this year.

How does BG do as a leader?

Stren has barely any memory now

I use Big Game mono for leader and it does a good job.

A bass pro turned me onto Gamma line but since Gamma does not have a mono I use Big Game and other mono's for topwater and treble hook baits.

The Gamma co poly is really good.
