So per usual I am a little late to the party..this time in the case of the menace grub. I have heard for years how great they are and based off that I bought several packs but never really gave them a fair shake. Then a good buddy of mine..who happens to be a member here..kept ranting and raving about how he loves them and they are his swim jig trailer. So I threw one on a swim jig a few weeks ago and now it's all I'm throwing. Holy crap they eat that thing! One negative I've heard is they are pricey and not durable. They are a little pricey yes but I find them fairly durable...I think I've used 3 or 4 and have caught at least 20 bass on them. At that rate I can catch 40 or 50 on a pack..that's fair for $5.

 

I fish it T-rigged with a 1/4 oz bullet weight.

I was the same and tried them 3 years ago, and they are one of my to baits now, rigged on a slider head. I do agree the price is more than I want to pay so I buy them during the TW black friday sale. Just Hope TW doesn't up them to 6.99 like the other new Rage plastics. I know Sieberts offers the new baits cheaper, but the holiday sale prices are really tough to match at TW, under 4 a pack.

 

I don't waste them on swim jigs though, I generally throw either a Yum pulse Jr, smash tech smash shad Jr, or an old yum wooly bullee rigged sideways.

 

Most fish caught on one Menace was 23, may have been able to get one or two more but I retired it.
