LEWS REEL

Featured Replies

Looking for one all around reel to use for all lures and fishing from the bank. Big lews fan so I’m gonna stick with them. Thinking about a tournament pro 6:8:1, any other suggestions? Heard a lot of good things about that real as well as others like the bb1, etc. and I want to make the right call.

I only have tournament MBs. If i were to step up Id go with the tourney pro or maybe BB1 pro. Soeed spool MSB is also in that range which Im not familiar with. But Id probably give the edge to tournament Pro.

I have a TP LFS 6.8. It's very good all around and you can throw very light baits with it due to it's unusually light spool.

For the OP I would suggest the Lew's Tournament MP It's a great Jack of all trades reel.

I hae both Tournament MB's and Tournament Pro's. I like both a lot. I don't know anything about the new tournament MP's. Either would be a great real I like both. good luck

I have the older Tournament MB and Tournament Pro.  Nice reels.  The Tournament Pro LFS gets great reviews. The Pro Ti is a beautiful reel.  I just have a hard time spending that kind of money even at the $260 sale price.

I have 6 lews tourney pros.    Good quality reel.  A good value for the money. I've had most of mine for several years.  They are still getting it done.  If I had @jbsoonerfan money, I'd have a new line up of pro-ti or hypermags.  ??

I have a bb1, got it when it came out.  It's a good reel but all the years later and I still like my tourney pros better.  But if you like a centrifugal breaks reel.. then look at it.  The new bb1 pro has dual breaks I think.  I'm sure you can find them cheaper than 200.

Other than the wide spool, I'm not super impressed with the lews super duty I bought a long time ago.   It's a good reel and will serve you well but I personally just dont see it as a HEAVY DUTY reel. But I think they have revamped them and worked out some of the issues

Another good steal, Speed spool which is 99 but u can find it for 70 all the time.  Mag breaks with a aluminum frame. Solid work horse.

Two of the best values in reels period.  Lews tourney pro, and lews speed spool.

That is all alot of info, but if I had to go buy another reel tmw, if I buy lews it's a tourney pro.

X2 on the tournament pro. I have several.  Actually think I like the custom pro a little better but its more $. At 139 the tournament pro is the real deal
